This is an old family favorite. I remember mom using it for my high school pre prom parties (without the wine or champagne). The punch is tart and refreshing.
Ingredients:
- 1 liter 50/50
- 1 liter ginger ale
- 1 liter Sprite
- 1 large thawed frozen lemonade undiluted
- 1/2 large limeade undiluted
- 1 pint lemon or lime sherbet
- White wine or champagne may be added
- 1 ice ring
Directions:
- Pour soda in large punch bowl. Pour along the side of the bowl.
- Add lemonade and limeade
- Add ice ring
- Place a couple of scoops of sherbet in middle of ice ring.
Ice Ring Directions:
- Use a circular Jello mold with hole in middle. Mix other half of limeade according to can directions.
- Pour enough limeade into mold to cover bottom.
- Freeze.
- Add wedges of lime, slices of lemon with rind on, whole strawberries with stems on, blueberries or fruit of choice.
- Carefully, pour limeade around fruit, but do not cover fruit or it will float. Freeze.
- Add rest of limeade to cover fruit.
